Hey Danny, welcome to One by One! Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Daniel, I started my career as tattoo artist 2 years ago I’ve been involved in the art field since I was around 7 years old I always liked to draw and paint and my mom saw that I had a talent so she helped me by signing me up for painting classes, she’s been my biggest support. At the time I started tattooing I wasn’t sure if I should leave my full time job to do what I wanted to do my mom, girlfriend and family told me to leave it a follow my dreams.
You grew up in Spain! When did you move to London?
I grew up in a small town not far from Madrid central kind like Essex innit! There is not much going on but there are a lot of fields where you can spend time outside with your dogs and it’s very peaceful. I moved to London is because I wanted to learn English and live in a different city… one that never sleeps.
I never imagined that I would be a tattoo artist or end up living in London doing what I love the most! Tattoos have changed my life and the way I see things, it’s very fulfilling that people trust in you to get your art on their skin.
I learn everyday and I’m grateful to have people around me that support me as well as a good environment where I can learn too.
If you weren’t a tattoo artist what would be your other dream job and why?
Something that could involve travelling as I’m passionate about getting to know different cultures and people around the world opens your mind and I enjoy learning from others. Im currently planning a trip at the moment to visit Thailand and South East Asia so it’s a very exciting time.
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?
Reminding myself to do what I love. I was going to write coffee, but then I thought that’s a necessity (to me).
What’s your go to genre of music to get creative?
Piano music gets me into a comfortable environment anything that can involve musical instruments. I also like to listen to podcasts about history and modern science.
A lot of your work is very conceptual and appear to have inspiration from ancient histories and science. What is it that inspires you to draw themes from these subjects?
Art and history it’s been probably my favourite subjects at school when I was young from painters to history in general and I still appreciate and love today, at the end of the day we are part of history and “art lasts life is short”.
How do you you start the design process for a client?
I like to talk with the client and see what are their feelings an idea so I can work out the way I’d like to see my piece of art on the canvas, for every person is something different so I try to create something unique every time.
Danny what advice would you give to someone looking to get their first tattoo?
The advice I could give to someone to get your first tattoo is follow your heart 
don’t ask other people’s opinion.
